In a recent interview we sat down with CEO Mark Lang for his thoughts on marketing, advertising and the use of new AI technology in media.

Branding vs. Direct Response

It’s all about accountability today. That’s the biggest thing that the advent of digital media has taught traditional marketers. I don’t view branding as being the antithesis of direct response, rather I like to use the words “daily accountability” for direct response. Ultimately, the goal of advertising is to build a bridge between companies and consumers in an effort to move more products and services. Digital vs. Broadcast Advertising

Both are broad terms with many subsets under each. Generally, Pay per click campaigns can exist alone and do quite well. PPC is the ultimate marketing in that it serves your site or app at the time the consumer is most in need of your product or service. But, the limitation is that it only reaches those consumers who are unsure about which brand is best. For example, if you need a legal document like an LLC prepared, most people with go to www.legalzoom.com. You may use Google search to find the URL but once you find the site, you are going to Legalzoom. That’s because they have over a decade of branding having begun with endorsements on radio stations like KFI in Los Angeles and have become the first and best choice for these services.

Does Paid Search work for your clients?
